Ross PE Club

About Us

The University of Michigan Private Equity Club at the Ross School of Business is the hub for Ross students seeking to pursue a career in and learn more about the private equity industry. The PE club provides educational speaker events, training, and resources that give students the opportunity to cultivate strong networks with leading industry members and like-minded peers. Club members also receive access to the fall Michigan Private Equity Conference for industry professionals.

Leadership

Belinda Ong | belong@umich.edu

Belinda Ong is a second year MBA student at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Prior to business school, she worked in private equity for four years, where she evaluated investments, was part of the fundraising team, and oversaw the portfolio valuation process. Belinda interned in McKinsey’s Corporate Finance practice. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honors) degree from Nanyang Technological University and is a Chartered Accountant (Singapore).

Aaron Schmit | arschmit@umich.edu

Aaron Schmit is a second year MBA student at the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Prior to business school, he worked in private equity investing for two years at a family office in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Aaron interned for Vista Equity Partners in Chicago. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Ferris State University. He is a former professional hockey player and Certified Public Accountant.

Arjun Prakash | arjprak@umich.edu

Arjun is a junior at the Ross School of Business focusing in finance and accounting with minors in computer science and history. Last summer, he interned in software engineering in his home state of Massachusetts. Next year, he is looking to pursue opportunities in finance and consulting. Arjun enjoys football and tennis, Game of Thrones, and travelled to Costa Rica in May 2017.

Alexander Rein | alexrein@umich.edu

Alex is a junior at the Ross School of Business focusing in finance with additional majors in International Studies and Asian Studies. Last summer, he interned in Restructuring at FTI Consulting in Los Angeles. Alex interned at Apollo Global Management. Alex enjoys basketball, football, Game of Thrones, and travelled to China in May 2017.
