Justin Stark brings over 17 years of experience as an advisor, investor and occasional operator to lower and middle market companies. He has deep expertise in private equity investing, especially as related to the healthcare sector. During his career he has been affiliated with over $500 million in transaction value in direct investments and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Cascade, Justin was the Director of Strategic Investing for Medical Mutual of Ohio. There he was responsible for leading the acquisition activity, strategic partnerships and fund investing for a $3 billion regional health plan.
Prior to Medical Mutual of Ohio, Justin served as a Principal at EDG Partners, a lower middle-market healthcare focused private equity firm. His experience there focused on private equity investing, transaction structuring and analysis and strategy. At EDG, he was responsible for sourcing potential investments and for identifying and partnering with Founders, serial entrepreneurs and senior executives to help build industry-leading healthcare companies. Justin served as Chairman of Peak Payer Solutions, sold to AMN Healthcare and on the board of Sommet, Inc., National HME, Unity Physician Partners and other portfolio companies.
Justin began his career in Charlotte, North Carolina at Wachovia Corporation within its Loan Syndications Investment Banking Group focused on the allocation of multi-billion-dollar credit facilities. After Wachovia, he joined a Multi-Strategy $4 Billion Distressed Focused Hedge Fund. There, he quickly rose from Senior Analyst to Vice President Senior Associate responsible for sourcing new transactions and managing a $100 million plus portfolio. In addition, he served on the boards of select portfolio companies.
Justin holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marshall University.
